    INTRODUCTION

In the course of self-leadership, it is important to consider the importance of personal development. It all starts with the fact that it was satisfied with the way things are. There is no person alive that can claim to be a finished product. We are all a work in progress. I’m not where I used to be more, but I’m not close to where it should be, in terms of everything that can be. It takes humility and honesty to recognize that it is not “whole”, and not “all there.” We have good intentions and, sometimes, the right motivation, but this is not enough. There must be a willingness to do the necessary work to achieve the goal. It is an illusion to think that you can change something important, without improving it. Let’s look at some of the areas that need work.

“inner dialogue” (the positive or negative of the things that you constantly tell yourself)

“self-image” (as you can see if the same)

    self-motivation (what motivates you).

“self-discipline” (moderation, be strict with yourself)

This is all part of the puzzle of the self-leadership and when they come together, life becomes beautiful. Sometimes the desire to change and develop can be very strong, but what if obstacles speak louder than the desire you have? It is not advisable to proceed without knowing exactly what you’re trying to. We will identify some of the obstacles that must be overcome to start the process of self-development:

The refusal to change – “I’m set in my way”

The power of the past – “It’s hard to say goodbye to yesterday”

An inflexible mentality – “I’ve always done it this way”

Associations – “I can’t let go of some of my old associations”

An inactive mind “is too much work; I have the right to be lazy”

I invite you to make a self-assessment based on the five areas mentioned above. There may be more depending on your particular case. You will notice that you need a change mainly in the mind. This is the “field of battle” where most of the wars take place. Where the mind goes, the man follows! There are prejudices, attitudes, negative habits and associations that have disappeared. If you’re happy, maybe we should not make any change. If you don’t like what is happening or the results they are getting, you can always change and start with the decision to be someone you have never been before. Albert Einstein said: “we can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. “Don’t wait until next year to change his mind. The time to make changes is NOW!

We live in a time in which there are a lot of learning. Is it possible to learn all the new skills and even spend a fortune, but they do not produce results. Obtaining new knowledge, without a new mind is similar to putting new wine in old skins. Change your mind!

Resolution of the mind problem positions for a real transformation. Personal development does not happen by itself. The physical growth is inevitable; personal growth requires decisive action. If you don’t grow, you can’t achieve greatness. What knowledge you acquire to maintain their relevance in the field of your choice? Now it has become easy to be “self-taught”, thanks to the free online courses that offer a lot. For example, Ivy League universities such as Harvard and Preston have resources on their websites that you can access easily. With YouTube, we can learn almost anything, at any time, by giving at least thirty minutes a day of tutorials. You can read at least a book a month. It’s time to grow!
